QUIXTAR = AMWAY Quixtar is a spin off from Amway. The name was changed to Quixtar in the U.S. because Amway had a bad reputation. Quixtar is now going back to the name Amway. They are the product suppliers and make the payouts to all the distributors based on their spots in the pyramid (referred to as "uplines" and "downlines").
TEAM is an organization that sells motivational materials ("hype the scam" materials) as a way to make money for those at the top. They also represent a "pyramid leg" or "branch" within the Quixtar pyramid. They were/are contractually bound to Quixtar... and there are 16 of these types of "marketing tools" companies (called "Kingpin" organizations) affiliated with Quixtar.
INCOME from each business
A) Quixtar only .001 % (6 out of 600,000) make > $ 80K per yr
B) Quixtar just 1-2 % make > 1 dollar (Avg Revenue = $ 28 / wk less expenses for gas, travel, lodging, ticket prices, books, CD's, wardrobe, value of one's time, cost of unneeded products etc...)
C) TEAM 99.2% are excluded from TEAM's profit sharing (only 600 of 75,000 partake)
Sources for A,B, and C above:
THE EXPENSE OF THE "DOWNLINE" BECOMES THE
PRIMARY REVENUE OF THE "UPLINE."
Not a Pretty business, is it?
The upline depends on this "sucker revenue" for
its continued existence.
WARNING: Although TEAM has recently imploded (see lawsuits below) - and is sidelined for 6 months - they will surely reappear as a reinvented (mutated) version of themselves. They will claim to be something new/different but will instead be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Beware!! Link for resignation letter.
TEAM is the operation that my sponsor had me sign up for. His team had recruited a number of people in the church including 1 or 2 pastors. Most have left after reading this research. Pastor Dick Hawley was pressured to resign from Highpoint Church as a direct result of this business (TEAM).Unfortunately, last I knew, our head pastor still has 3 family members involved in a similar pyramid scheme (Market America). I attended one of their meetings whereby they drew up a scenario to make $1/2 million per year. No Joke.
Motivational materials (the "tools" business) The motivational materials serve as mind manipulation. The CD's try to pump you up into thinking you can make money which is almost theoretically impossible to achieve. It would be similar to me selling you tapes and CD's to "pump you up" and have you "dream big" on your way to buy lottery tickets. I call them "hype the scam" materials because that's exactly what they are - they "hype" a business (Quixtar) that is a complete scam in itself. The "tools" business is truly a scam on top of a scam.
An Example: Sep '07 One month after Chris Brady, a TEAM CEO, resigned from TEAM - I received a CD from TEAM in the mail in which he was recorded. I transcribed part of it below. Seem Legit to you?
You can do anything you want to do. You can rises as high as you want. You can go as far as you want to go. You can become a diamond in this business. You can take us to a million people. You can sleep late in the morning. You can have your dream home. You can buy your car with cash. You can buy an orphanage, you can build an orphanage. You can build churches - you can pay pastors. You can pay for your grandparents' care. You can travel the world. You can pay for college educations. You can sponsor tuitions. You can design and build what you want. You can live in multiple states and forget where you are waking up. You can make a difference. You can save our culture. You can accomplish anything you want here with this vehicle.
As I said, I view TEAM as a “Hype the scam” organization. This may appear harsh until you realize that in a lawsuit (TEAM vs Quixtar) that the bigwigs of TEAM admit it themselves!! YES!! They admit it themselves!! They literally accuse the business they were promoting as being an illegal pyramid scheme!!
On their left hand TEAM is hyping Quixtar
and on the right hand they are suing them !!
NO Joke !!!
